Associate (Corporate Commercial Advocate)

Key Responsibilities 

  • Advising Corporate Commercial clients on various transactions handled by the Firm.
  • Preparations of quality documents in line with the client’s instructions and within the set timelines.
  • Advising clients on the technical aspects of a wide range of matters, particularly in the fields of Corporate Commercial Law.
  • To build and maintain client relationships to help retain and attract more clients and work into the Firm.
  • To effectively monitor the WIP including adherence to the internal processes and oversee billing in line with the Firm policy.
  • Advising and updating clients on the developments of the law.
  • Preparing periodic reports and forwarding the same to clients and Partners in line with the clients’ reporting calendar.
  • Attending and participating in all Departmental meetings.
  • Participating in the knowledge development of the Department and the Firm at large by undertaking any necessary training relevant to your areas of specialization.

Education, Qualification and Experience

  • A Degree in Law.
  • Professional qualification – Post Graduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law.
  • Minimum 2 years post-admission experience.
  • Analytical skills and a good sense of urgency.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
